Job description

We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner/Financial Services Administrator to join the financial services division of BPU Chartered Accountants in Cardiff and provide dedicated, full-time, office based support, to one experienced IFA.

This is a technical role and you should have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a financial advice business.

Ideal candidates should be close to or have achieved the level 4 diploma in a financial services qualification with at least GCSE grades A-C/1-3 in Mathematics and English.

70% of our new business is currently dealing with pre, at and post retirement planning; including drawdown, pension switching, SIPPs and SSAS. Other key growth areas include inheritance tax planning and business protection advice.

To support the advice process, you must be able to compile compliant case files to include: data gathering, provider liaison, analysis of existing arrangements, preparation of suitability reports, submit applications and track new business; all to a high professional standard.

You should ideally have a good working knowledge of Iress XPLAN back office, Defaqto Engage, CashCalc (or other cash flow modelling software), Assureweb, Iress O&M Pension Profiler and ATEB Suitability, plus Microsoft Office but some training can be provided.

You must be capable of prioritising your own workload and completing tasks within specified timescales and deadlines.

Attention to detail, accuracy, grammar and spelling, are key essential attributes.mYou must be willing to learn new skills, understand technical information and be able to follow detailed processes.

This is a full time role and for the right person there is a salary on offer up to £40,000 plus benefits depending upon your relevant experience and qualifications.
